working on IE6-related CSS?

I hesitate to describe Whatnot, undefined, & suchlike as a blog. I expect it will serve me mainly as workbench and repository for lessons learned (or learning) about Javascript, WordPress, and whatever else with which I happen to be tinkering.

I have set up a few WP sites – most recently, this one – but while I was recently updating OTL (which is little more than a resumé), I wasn’t yet sure of adding WP to the site. So, since that decision was an afterthought, I had a couple of options as to how to do incorporate WP to this little site: one being to recreate OTL’s few pages (‘Hello’, ‘Featured Work’, ‘Resumé’) as static ‘Pages’ in WordPress, another being to configure WordPress as a sibling to the content that otherwise comprises OTL, and use it only to host the Posts. Mainly because I didn’t see any particular payoff in the former, I chose the latter.

In either case I had to apply the (obviously relatively simple) style from OTL – and I should mention that I chose to use TidyThemes’ ‘blankslate’ as a point of departure from the port of WordPress. Based on my experience with this setup in recent days, I would use blankslate again and would recommend it. And this, btw, was an entirely different process than the aforementioned project (FinchurstDental.com) in which I opted to use a Foundation-based WP theme (and if you listen carefully, you can hear me almost certainly never doing that again).

And so in order to see how WordPress ticks and to level up my WP chops, I shall feed this blog from time to with likely coarsely edited mental dribblings and miscellany that seem worth keeping for future reference (mine, anyway), e.g., regarding CSS, HTML, jQuery, WordPress & especially Javascript.

Corrections & suggestions are most welcome.
